Kitchen Krafts

Whenever my kids celebrate their birthdays, I always go to Kitchen Krafts for their cake. My kids can choose what theme/character they like (which varies every year, as they grow their taste also changes) and Kitchen Krafts has been so reliable and always does a fantastic creation.

Here are some of the cakes they made for my kids through the years..

My son's 5th Birthday, he requested a Dumbo Cake.

His 6th Birthday, He wants a POCOYO Cake

Catch Joel Rosenberg LIVE! In Manila

DH & I are excited to attend this conference on Friday, January 22, at Christ Commission Fellowship

In case you don't know him.. Click here to see his website, and his blog. You'll read interesting stuff there, some are giving me goosebumps.

According to his blog, today is his 3rd day here in Philippines, and he went to see President Arroyo

Joel C. Rosenberg is the New York Times best-selling author of The Last Jihad, The Last Days, The Ezekiel Option, The Copper Scroll, and Epicenter: How the Current Rumblings in the Middle East Will Change Your World, with more than one million copies in print. He is also the founder and president of the Joshua Fund, a nonprofit charitable and educational organization that provides humanitarian relief for victims of war and terrorism in Israel and the Muslim world.

Justice In God's Time

When I heard and saw this news, my heart as a parent rejoices for Mr. & Mrs. Renato Ebarle Sr.

"Today, January 18, is the 60th day since my son was killed. He was killed on November 18. This is my only son. It's been very hard for us but this morning, our prayers were answered," Renato Ebarle Sr.

Thank You Lord, that justice prevails in this country.

Food Attack at Mr. Jones & Padre

After DH & I had that "very special time" for 5 days, we are excited to eat. I suggested to have dinner at Mr. Jones at Greenbelt 5. It is actually a "Diner", serving comfort American Food. We invited dear friends, couple CC & LC.

We all had big appetites and we had these...

Salad, the dressing is Raspberry. Refreshing taste.

Shrimp, Calamari, Fish & Clam in a bucket. With 4 kinds of Dip. This one is so, so..

Tapa & Garlic Overload, with eggs have it your way. Quite good, beef is tender with the yummy fat.

Dory and Crab Thermidor? Sorry forgot the name of this dish. I liked it, DH said it was a bit bland

DH likes this one. Crab Carbonara. Extremely creamy the way he likes it, you can see it was topped with fresh egg yolk and caviar eggs, you must mixed with the steamy hot noodles!

Friends CC & LC and us have not had dinner for months so we so much stories to catch up. We went to Padre Y Damaso and had coffee and dessert.

Half eaten queso de bola cheesecake, with preserved Santol..

Grabe! we are so busog. DH and I over-ate but extremely satisfied!

Happy weekend! 12.40am in my clock now. I feel like half asleep already from too much food..

Weekend Chuckle

I was reading the Kid's Bible with my 6 year old son and my 3 year old daughter was listening to the story and one of the lines we read is something about the "Jews".

My Son: Mommy what are Jews?

Me: Jews are.. (while I'm still talking, my smart daughter butted in..)

My Daughter: Jews are what Papa always drinks, you know! (then she rolled her eyes)

Luxurious Twins!

I blogged about the luxurious Nokia phone we made for a very special client in this post.

Neon Baby

It's here!!!!! I blog about this here.

The ever reliable Johnny Air Cargo shipped this baby to me.  Folks if you buy stuff on-line in USA and want it ship to you fast, try them! I shop on-line (USA sites), ebay, Amazon, etc. only because I ask the seller to ship my items to their New York Office. You don't have to deal with Philippine customs (meaning bribes and extortion).

It is screaming NEON PINK!! Love it.

Hong Kong: Noah's Ark

DH and I brought our kids to Hong Kong over the holidays, we went to the usual places where family goes, Ocean Park, Victoria Peak, etc.

The newest place to visit was Noah's Ark. Check out the link. It's an awesome place for kids.
One of the main attraction was the Ark Expo. I really like how they make..
  • Extraordinary Multi-Media Presentation of the Noah's Ark and Evaluate its Significance to the World Today and in Future
  • Imagine the Journey of Noah in a 180 ° Great Flood Theatre
  • Marvel at the Fine Collection of Ark Models from Far Corners of the World that describe The Great Flood in History
  • Examine the largest Meteorite Exhibit in Hong Kong
  • Learn about the Microscopic Animal Kingdom
  • Relax in the 4D Theatre which shows the Amazing Power of Nature and the Challenges our Planet is facing
The Treasure House, there are 15 discovery galleries in Treasure House. Elements of life education, multiple intelligences, critical thinking and liberal studies are all integrated in our fun-filled exhibitions and programs especially designed for children aged 3-15.

And of course, the Ark Garden, features life-sized handcrafted animals!

Entrance fee was HK$100/adult. HK$85/child

The downside was it is not easily accessible by public transport. The fastest way to get there is by ferry, which you can take at Central Pier. Go to terminal 2, ferry to Park Island. When we get to the ferry terminal, there are no ferry tickets for sale! Be sure to load your Octopus Card, our card were charged HK$10/pax for one way fare to the Park. Be prepared also to WALK! Bring stroller for young kids. The walk from the ferry terminal to Noah's Ark is about 1-1.5km.

But it's all worth the visit.

Hong Kong Express!

Originally we are booked to fly on Dec.28 via PAL, however I had to change to leave on Dec.27 due to a business meeting. Pal was already fully booked and my travel agent Uni-Orient suggested I take Hong Kong Express (HKE).

I was hesitant but since we are five people flying out, the wait-list in PAL was just impossible to get it. So we succumbed to take HKE

HKE is a commercial airline based in Hong Kong.

We are served by Cantonese looking stewardess. Aircraft is very clean.

Inflight entertainment is pretty good.

My Dear Son was focused in watching the short film.

This is our food. Nothing fancy, but it was a hot sandwich! Better than nothing. Free flow of water, coffee or tea.

Hot Adobo Pandesal! I know its good because my picky eater son ate it.

I would give Hong Kong Express my 2nd option in flying to Hong Kong, 1st option will still be PAL because of the frequency of flight daily. Hong Kong Express only has 2 flights from Manila to Hong Kong, and only 1 flight Hong Kong to Manila.

Overall, it was way better than Cebu Pacific.

Sexy Back

I'm back with DH and the kids. I'm exhausted. I've been sleeping early since we got back 2 days ago, and I still feel tired. We all had so much fun, had a blast with my children, the bonding we had is incredible, including my mom, and my nephew and niece. I just started uploading our pictures.

Will blog about the trip soon.

10:09 pm now and I'm ready to hit the sack. zzzzz.. Just want to say, may this year 2010 brings you so much hope, and to trust God. Read your Bibles, learn from the teaching of Jesus and obey them. Pray and let God do the work.
