Let's Help
I was not in Manila when this major flood disaster happened last Saturday, however I was at Hong Kong Airport and scheduled to fly home at 6PM. To cut the whole story short, our flights were cancelled. My knowledge of what's been happening in Manila was thru overseas phone calls with DH, who's already telling me not to come home.. and the free wi-fi at the airport which i got some updates from friends at Facebook. Hong Kong weather is extremely hot and sunny, so when I saw these pictures over the internet, I was in shocked, and could not comprehend what's been happening...
Please join my home church, Christ Commission Fellowship (CCF) efforts. Daily 9-5 repacking of relief goods. Donations needed; those who are moved to distribute on site to hard-hit areas may go with the trucks.Cash donations will be receipted. Different ways to help please call Tel 635-4971-77.
Stay safe and pray for our country.
I was worried for my kids, I kept texting DH to stay with the kids. Our home has no electricity from 3pm Saturday-3am Sunday. We're blessed to live in a condo, Thank you Lord, for sparing me, my family. Our home, cars, things are intact. Today I saw the aftermath of the storm.. I am still grateful for God's protection to my family and was moved to help.
Stay safe and pray for our country.

What Matters Most.. is Family
Few days ago, some friends posted 2 short films/commercial clip at Facebook. Which I've seen and touches my heart and soul. I forwarded it to friends/family. These films are created/directed by the late Yasmin Ahmad, she's from Malaysia.
I did some researched on her and this is what I found at Wikipedia:
Yasmin Ahmad (July 1, 1958 - July 25, 2009) was a critically-acclaimed multi-award winning film director, writer and scriptwriter from Malaysia and was also the executive creative director at Leo Burnett Kuala Lumpur. Her television commercials and films are well-known in Malaysia for their humour, heart and love that crosses cross-cultural barriers, in particular her ads for Petronas, the national oil and gas company. Her works have won multiple awards both within Malaysia and internationally.
Her first feature length film[4] was Rabun in 2002. Yasmin's films have won many international awards and praise from the critics and public alike. Most of her films have been screened at the Berlin, San Francisco, Singapore and Cannes (film market) international film festivals. Her films were featured in a special retrospective[5] at the 19th Tokyo International Film Festival in October 2006. An April 2007 retrospective[6] of her feature films was sponsored by the Center for Southeast Asian Studies, University of Hawaii, and the Honolulu Academy of Arts. In Singapore, Yasmin is best known for the pro-family commercials she did for the Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports[7]. Yasmin was inducted into the Malaysian Advertising Hall of Fame by the Association of Accredited Advertising Agents Malaysia in November 2008

She died July 25, 2009 due to Stroke. I don't know her until I saw these 2 short films, that made me cry each time I watched it. She's a genius that uses her talent in advocating pro-family values.

Feeling Korean
Today, me and my cousin-in-laws B. Sy, B. Tan and good friend N. Ng went girl bonding and attended the Korean Women's Association of the Philippines Cooking event at the Makati Sports Club. There's a cooking demo of the famous Kalbijim (Beef Stew), Kimchi and other authentic Korean dishes.
We had a great time, eating lunch there, giggle over our loot bag of Korean goodies, and N. Ng won lots Korean food stuff from the raffle!

Tribute to Cory
2 days ago, i was surpirsed to see MANY people at the Mall of Asia Lobby. It turns out that it was a photo exhibit of the funeral of our late President Cory, a tribute by some of the talented Filipino Photographers.
I spotted Makati Mayor Binay, Congressman Peping Cojuangco, Mikee and Dodot Jaworski, China Cojuangco during the ribbon cutting.
Here's the slide show of some of the photos captured by the photographers. Photos will be displayed throughout September.

Wish List for the Week
I like...
It's sooo nice right?
Spazio24 Made in Italy. I'm still negotiating with the Distributor... I hope I won't dream about this watch that much. I heard it is not pricey at all.
Goodbye Michael..
Got this photo from CNN.COM
He was laid to rest today and only 200 family and friends got invited to his interment.
And I thought I'm over it, because I felt sad all over again

Weekend Getaway
We went to Punta Fuego (Punta Fuego Club) for the long weekend with the kids. We went swimming, ate so much and I actually accompany DH to bike.. it was very hilly so my legs are now hurting. We skipped the beach this time.
Look at the view.. I'm daydreaming wanting to live here and retire soon!
