Sorry for not updating. The holidays was crazy and by the time i plan to blog I was yawning.. sleepy zzz.

This is just random, I'll try blog more about each one later.

1. Went to Singapore with DH and Kids, i didn't bring my reliable yaya this time to "check" if I'll be sane for 5 days and a "test" for the upcoming Sydney trip on April.. and yes! the kids are pretty much well behaved. Thank You Lord!!!

2. Been having Christmas parties, lunch & dinner here and there and as of today, my dress feel TIGHT and i wanted to panic!!! Not fair, sign of aging/slow metabolism.. sigh.. I need to work out twice as much to be able to burn the holiday food.

3. However as of point number 2, I reconnected with a couple of old friends from college and I'm soooo happy to see each one so settled & fulfilled. To good buddy CL, our Heavenly Father will watch over you :)

4. Spent December 25 with my parents, brother & his family and my family together in Singapore and had a wonderful Asian meal & mouth-watering Cereal Prawns!!

5. DH ate Laksa for 5 straight days! hahaha

6. Yesterday 1/2/11, one of the best Sunday worship message.. Pastor said: Your goal for 2011? is to Please God.
Then few minutes later after the service, I got a call & to cut the long story short, I had a very stressful situation that leaves my eyes extremely swollen like gold fish. I had never put so much ice in my eyes my entire life like last night.

7. Today 1/3/11, one of the hardest thing that I had to do.. and it was done. I have surrendered the situation to the Lord.

8. So after 2 straight days of stressful moments, I dropped by GAP SALE and came home pretty happy with a big stash of kid's clothing at a very good price.

9. God has been reminding me to "pay attention" to what is important..

10. This year, I'm claiming God's promises to 'not live' in fear and worry.. The enemy can shake me but I refuse to fall down because I'm anchored to my Maker!

The Choice

IT’S QUIET. It’s early. My coffee is hot. The sky is still black. The world is still asleep. The day is coming.


In a few moments the day will arrive. It will roar down the track with the rising of the sun. The stillness of the dawn will be exchanged for the noise of the day. The calm of solitude will be replaced by the pounding pace of the human race. The refuge of the early morning will be invaded by decisions to be made and deadlines to be met.

For the next twelve hours I will be exposed to the day’s demands. It is now that I must make a choice. Because of Calvary , I’m free to choose. And so I choose.

I choose love . . .
No occasion justifies hatred; no injustice warrants bitterness. I choose love. Today I will love God and what God loves.

I choose joy . . .
I will invite my God to be the God of circumstance. I will refuse the temptation to be cynical . . . the tool of the lazy thinker. I will refuse to see people as anything less than human beings, created by God. I will refuse to see any problem as anything less than an opportunity to see God.

I choose peace . . .
I will live forgiven. I will forgive so that I may live.

I choose patience . . .
I will overlook the inconveniences of the world. Instead of cursing the one who takes my place, I’ll invite him to do so. Rather than complain that the wait is too long, I will thank God for a moment to pray. Instead of clinching my fist at new assignments, I will face them with joy and courage.

I choose kindness . . .
I will be kind to the poor, for they are alone. Kind to the rich, for they are afraid. And kind to the unkind, for such is how God has treated me.

I choose goodness . . .
I will go without a dollar before I take a dishonest one. I will be overlooked before I will boast. I will confess before I will accuse. I choose goodness.

I choose faithfulness . . .
Today I will keep my promises. My debtors will not regret their trust. My associates will not question my word. My wife will not question my love. And my children will never fear that their father will not come home.

I choose gentleness . . .
Nothing is won by force. I choose to be gentle. If I raise my voice may it be only in praise. If I clench my fist, may it be only in prayer. If I make a demand, may it be only of myself.

I choose self-control . . .
I am a spiritual being. After this body is dead, my spirit will soar. I refuse to let what will rot, rule the eternal. I choose self-control. I will be drunk only by joy. I will be impassioned only by my faith. I will be influenced only by God. I will be taught only by Christ. I choose self-control.

Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. To these I commit my day. If I succeed, I will give thanks. If I fail, I will seek his grace. And then, when this day is done, I will place my head on my pillow and rest.

Sorry I've been M.I.A. (missing in action) for a week, due to a "very special time" focused in something important.

I'm back!!

Run Then Eat, Makes You Feel Good, Not Guilty!

Today I have a brunch date with my discipleship girlfriends, I learned we are having buffet at Spiral (at Sofitel Philippine Plaza)

So I force myself out of bed at 5.45am this morning, grab DH to join me and ran for 1 hour at Mall of Asia By The Bay, just to compensate the buffet that I'm going to indulge! I did actually feel good, work out first then reward yourself!

Tomorrow, I'm flying out with DH and my babies. Vacation Rocks!

Happy New Year Everyone :) 

I look forward to 2010, another year of journey with my Master, my Lord, Jesus.

A Little Girl Named Kaitlyn..

Kaitlyn Maher, she is the cutest girl, and knows how to give glory to her God at age 4. Now i think she's 5 years old.

  
The youngest ever Top 10 finalist of the hit TV show "America's Got Talent" when she was only 4, sings an original arrangement of the song "Above All" at Christian Fellowship Church's (CFC) Worship Concert on 5/1/09.

Amazing isn't she?! Hats off to her parents, I strongly believe that her parents are the number 1 influence-rs in her life and nurtured her talents and strengths.  Now I am motivated to teach my own daughter.

Signal No. 3

As I am writing this, it's 5.30am and was awaken by the loud gushing wind outside my home. Manila is currently experiencing the eye of the storm.

I swear I'm not kidding but my heart is pounding and called Jesus in my heart. Please have mercy to our country.

I can't go back to sleep, I'm on the watch like a mother hen while my kids are clueless of what's happening.

Saved to Serve

My discipleship group MG, HC, HR, KT, GT, TL ,CC and myself went to Ultra few days ago. Actually this is our 2nd time to visit the children evacuees, their houses in Pasig, Rizal were washed away by Ondoy.

The 1st time we went, we reached out to 100 children, 7 years old and above. This time we reached out to 50 kids. We shared the Gospel using the wordless book and prayed with each of them. The book looked something like this.. Made with love by dear friend TL.

This is one of the most efficient way for sharing the Good News of Salvation to the children.. Of course we shared in Tagalog.

We also gave them gospel beads, to remind them of the five colors and what it symbolized. Again, made by love from TL and her kids.

We gave them school bags filled with pad paper, crayons, ball pen, cookies, juices, t-shirt etc. We were re-packing on site.

When we got there, this is what we saw. Their day care center for the children is a small park outside the Ultra stadium. Public school teachers go there to resume their classes. They were seated only in a banig and doing their arts and crafts.

 

After a few minutes they were dismissed by their teachers and we took over, we started sharing the wordless book.. by group.

 

Wrapped up by teaching them how to sing kids' praise and worship songs.

We were also told that it was their last day in Ultra and the familess are being sent home or go back to their provinces.

What a privilege to serve my Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ.
